My entire life is running about a week behind at the moment. Last week was completely consumed by an evil virus that made it's way through my house with no mercy. Losing seven days in the middle of December is just fabulous. Especially when you've left all your Christmas prep for the last minute. Planning Fail.
But I digress. Another thing that's been left to the last moment is goals/challenges for the coming year. Here is one that the lovely @RivkaBelle alerted me to a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to sign up. So here I am...signing up.

Challenge Guidelines:
- This challenge will run from Jan 1, 2012 - Dec 31, 2012.
- Anyone can join, you don't need to be a blogger. If you don't have a blog, feel free to sign-up in the comments. You can post reviews to any book site (i.e. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Goodreads, etc).
- Any genre, length or format of book counts, as long as it is self-published by the author.
- You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap-up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.
- When you sign up in the linky (on her site), put the direct link to your post about joining the Self-Published Reading Challenge.
- You can move up levels, but no moving down.
- Sign-ups will be open until Dec 15, 2012, so feel free to join at any time throughout the year.
- Sentence - 5 books
- Paragraph- 10 books
- Page - 25 books
- Chapter - 50 books
- Short Story - 75 books
- Novel - 100 books
- Series - 150 books
This is a really great reading challenge! I love the idea…of course I’m a self-published author. And thank you for putting Death Benefits on the list! I’m rereading it now, and that means you’ll get your ARC very soon!

Self-promotion is always a good thing. Since you promoted yourself, I have discovered a new book called Awake: A Fairytale and I’m adding it to my TBR list. It sounds like a pretty good read.
