It's no secret that I love Jane Austen. I actually co-own a site called Indie Jane that is a community of readers and writers of independently published Austenesque fiction. I'd totally link you to it right now so you could check out the awesomeness, but we have been attacked with malware and currently have a crack team of specialists (okay, just one specialist) investigating.
Not only do I love to read Austen and Austenesque fiction, I happen to be working on a novel called Attempting Elizabeth. AE is a quirky story about a girl who finds out she can jump into characters in Pride and Prejudice ... I call it an Austenesque/sci-fi/chick-lit novel. And there's a hot Aussie guy, so that's always a win.
As a reader (and writer) of Austen related novels, I am super excited to participate in the Jane Austen Giveaway Hop hosted by I'm a Reader Not a Writer and vvb32reads. I love meeting other Janeites! We are a really cool bunch if I do say so myself.
Attempting Elizabeth should be out in the next few months, but for this hop I'm giving away TWO of my favorite recent Austenesque novels. That's right, two. Cause I'm awesome. And cause I couldn't decide between them because they are also awesome.
First, we have His Good Opinion by Nancy Kelley. This is Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's point of view and it rocks. You can read my review of it here.
Second, we have My Dear Sophy by Kimberly Truesdale which is the love story of Captain and Sophia Wentworth (Captain and Mrs. Croft from Persuasion). This is a prequel in the very best sense. You can read my review here.
Due to the cost of mailing two paperbacks around the world, this contest is open to residents of the US and CAN only. Sorry guys! I have periodic giveaways that are open worldwide, so make sure to check back!
Make sure to check out all of the other blogs participating in the Jane Austen Giveaway Hop!

My favorite is definitely Emma. It was the first that I watched, and then the first that I read, and I fell utterly in love with the banter, writing, romance, and friendship. And having a hero named Mr. Knightley certainly helps too!
I lover Persuasion. I just don’t think you can beat Capt Wentworth’s letter.
